Etiquette and Policies
We understand that life gets busy and you may not always be able to make your scheduled class. If this happens to you, please contact your instructor and let her know you will not be in class. She will then assist you in scheduling a make-up in another class. Please try to keep your makeups to no more than 2 per session. It is best for your journey if you keep up with your class!
Alcohol before or during class:
Is strictly prohibited for your safety. If you come to class intoxicated, we reserve the right to not let you take class without refund or makeup credit given.
Please wear proper attire in the studio. Yoga and specific pole wear is appropriate for classes. For pole classes, yoga pants, shorts, sports bras, and tank tops are perfect. Please do not apply lotion prior to attending classes. For aerial Silks and aerial hoop classes, you will want to wear leggings and a shirt that covers your arm pits. Please leave your shoes in a cubby. Only socks, bare feet, and indoor dance specific shoes are allowed in the studio rooms. Undergarments are not permitted to be worn as pole attire.
In consideration and care for you, your class sisters and your instructors, we have a deadline for signing up for your classes 4 days before the class begins. Any registrations that come in after that, may be subject to a $25 late enrollment fee (this excludes level one registrations). This is to avoid having to cancel classes at the last minute.
Payments and Payment Plans:
We offer you the options of paying in full or doing an 8 week payment plan for your sessions. Both must be set up before the start of class. All payment plans require a valid credit or debit card. You will be required to fulfill the contract regardless if you attend class or not.
Photography and filming in class:
We encourage people to share video & photos of themselves at Tease, but please respect other students privacy. Please film only before and after class. If you would like to do any filming during class you must have permission from the instructor.
All classes are non-refundable and non-transferable once the session has begun. The only exception to this rule is medical. If you are unable to take class due to medical reasons, please provide a current and valid doctor’s note to management and you will receive a partial transfer of classes to the next session.
Class Cancellations due to low enrollment:
Occasionally, it is necessary to cancel a class due to low enrollment. If this happens, you will be contacted by management a few days before the start date. We will try to help you find a class that fits into your schedule. If you cannot find a class that works for you, your money will be refunded to you in full.
Class Cancellations due to weather, holiday, or illness:
Occasionally, it may be necessary to cancel a class due to one of the above. In the event that we need to cancel a class, you will be contacted as soon as possible and a makeup class will be scheduled.
Our studio has a student changing/storage and lounge area where you are welcome to leave your belongings. Tease is a very safe environment and in the 10 years of our our existence we have never had a problem. We cannot be held responsible for any items you bring to the studio. This includes property loss, theft or damage.
It is not safe for you to take any aerial or pole classes while you are pregnant. However classes such as Burlesque, flexibility, Belly dance and any other ground classes are fine.
Safety is our number one priority. Our curriculum is progressive and we ask that you only work on tricks and moves you are being taught at your specific level. Your instructors are professionally certified and trained in safety. Please give your instructor your attention and let her guide you safetly and comfortably through your journey with us. Please don’t ever teach another student. It is dangerous and an insurance liability. Leave the teaching to the pros!
We understand there are times you will be late to class due to traffic. For your safety, if you need to come into class late, please complete a full body 15 minute warm up in the lobby or an open studio space before coming into your classroom. Please enter the classroom respectful of the other students and quietly alert your instructor that you have arrived and completed your warm up.
