Etiquette & Policies

 ABSENCE:

We understand that life gets busy and you may not always be able to make your scheduled 8 week series class.  If this happens to you, no worries! Login to your PSM account no less than four hours before your class begins to early cancel your class and reschedule yourself. Late cancellation (defined as cancellation less than four hours before class) will result in the forfeiture of the credit and the inability to schedule makeups. Click here to view an in depth tutorial on how to early cancel your reservation and schedule your makeups!

For one time intro classes, we do require cancellation 24 hours before your reservation. Watch the video linked above to early cancel and reschedule your visit!

ALCOHOL, CANNABIS OR ALTERING SUBSTANCES BEFORE OR DURING CLASS:

Is strictly prohibited for your safety.  If you come to class intoxicated or under the influence of a mood enhancing or altering substance, we reserve the right to refuse teaching you without refund or makeup credit given.

ATTIRE:

Please wear proper attire in the studio.  Yoga and specific pole wear is appropriate for classes. For pole classes, yoga pants, shorts, sports bras, and tank tops are perfect.  Please do not apply lotion prior to attending classes.  For aerial silks, aerial yoga and aerial hoop classes, you will want to wear leggings and a shirt that covers your knees and underarms for comfort.  Please leave your shoes at the front door.  Only socks, bare feet, and indoor dance specific shoes are allowed in the studio rooms.

INTRO CLASSES:

Although we highly recommend making a reservation for your class, we will try our best to accommodate walk-ins. Please note that if the class doesn’t have enough people enrolled in it 24 hours before it is scheduled to run, it will be cancelled. Be sure to double check before coming in! If you can't make a class that you are scheduled for, cancellation is required 24 hours before. Failure to cancel before then or any “no-shows” will result in loss of the class credit. If you "early cancel" your class before the above listed deadline, there will be no penalty to you and your credit will be returned to your Pole Studio Manager (PSM) account. Likewise, if a class doesn’t have enough people registered 24 hours before it is scheduled to run, we will cancel it, return your PSM credit, and notify you.  Credits expire 30 days after purchase unless otherwise noted on your receipt.

LATE REGISTRATION:

In consideration and care for you, your classmates and your instructors, we have a deadline for signing up for your classes 3 days before the series begins. Any registrations that come in after that, may be subject to a $25 late enrollment fee (this excludes level one registrations). This is to avoid having to cancel classes at the last minute. This policy does not apply to our brand new students.

PAYMENTS AND PAYMENT CONTRACTS:

We offer you the options of paying for your class session in full, and as a courtesy to you, we offer an 8 week payment plan at no additional charge.  Both must be set up before the start of class.  All payment contracts require a valid credit or debit card.  You will be required to fulfill the contract regardless if you attend class or not.  ALL classes are non-refundable and non-transferable with no exceptions, including payment plan contracts.  We make a commitment to you and ask that you do the same.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING IN CLASS:

Taking videos of yourself is a wonderful way to track your progress!  We encourage students to share video and photos of themselves on their social networks, but please respect the privacy of your classmates.  Film only before or after class.  If you would like to film during class you must have permission from your instructor.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS:

Our studio has a student locker area where you are welcome to leave your belongings while in class. Tease is a very safe environment, and in the 17 years of our our existence we have never had a problem with theft. However you can bring your own lock if you would like to. We cannot be held responsible for any items you bring to the studio though, including property loss, theft or damage.

PREGNANCY:

If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, please talk with your doctor before signing up for any pole, burlesque, or aerial classes.  You will need to bring in a note from them to participate.

REFUNDS:

All classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.  The only exception to this rule is medical.  If you are unable to take class due to injury or illness, please provide a current and valid doctor's note to our management staff and you will receive a partial transfer of classes to the next session.

SAFETY:

Safety is our number one priority. Our curriculum is progressive and we ask that you only work on tricks and moves you are being taught at your specific level.  Your instructors are professionally certified and trained in safety.  Please give your instructor your attention and let them guide you safely and comfortably through your journey with us.  Please don’t ever teach another student.  It is dangerous and an insurance liability.  Leave the teaching to the pros!

TARDINESS:

We understand there are times you will be late to class due to unavoidable circumstances.  For your safety, if you need to come into class late, please complete a full body 15 minute warm up in the lobby before coming into your classroom.  Please enter the classroom respectful of the other students and quietly alert your instructor that you have arrived and completed your warm up.
